The simplest way to log your lifts. No accounts. No ads. No tracking.
SimpleLifts is a privacy-first gym tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. Log your sets in seconds, track your runs outdoors, and have everything sync between your own devices via iCloud — without an account, without a server, and without anyone selling your training data.
Is SimpleLifts free? Yes. SimpleLifts is free with no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases.
Do I need to create an account? No. SimpleLifts works immediately with no sign-up, login, or account required. Sync between your own devices happens via your existing iCloud account if you’re signed into iCloud.
Does my data sync between my iPhone and Apple Watch? Yes. Your workouts, templates, and exercise library sync via Apple’s CloudKit framework using your own iCloud account. SimpleLifts never sees your data — it goes directly between your devices through Apple’s iCloud, the same way Notes or Reminders sync.
Does SimpleLifts work without iCloud? Yes. If you’re not signed into iCloud or have iCloud Drive turned off for the app, everything still works on a single device — it just won’t sync to your other devices.
What does SimpleLifts write to Apple Health?
With your permission, completed workouts (type, duration, calories, heart rate samples, and for outdoor runs the route polyline) are saved as HKWorkout entries in Apple Health. You can revoke this anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access.
Does SimpleLifts read anything from Apple Health? During an active Watch workout, SimpleLifts reads live heart rate and calorie samples so you can see them on your wrist and so they get attached to the workout summary. Nothing is sent anywhere — these samples stay on your device.
Why does the app ask for location? Only for outdoor runs. The location permission is “While Using the App” — SimpleLifts captures your route only while a run workout is actively in progress. As soon as you end the run, location tracking stops. There is no background location tracking.
How does the Notion integration work? If you connect a Notion account, you grant SimpleLifts access to a single database that you pick. SimpleLifts uses Notion’s official OAuth to obtain a token, which is stored only in your device’s Keychain. After that, completed workouts can be appended to your Notion database as rows. You can disconnect anytime in Settings, which deletes the token from your Keychain. SimpleLifts never sees your Notion content other than the database you’ve authorized.
Does SimpleLifts track me? No. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporters, or tracking pixels in the app. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my data? Uninstalling SimpleLifts removes all data stored on the device. Your iCloud copy can be deleted from Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Storage → SimpleLifts → Delete Data. Workouts saved to Apple Health are managed by Health and can be deleted from the Health app. If you’ve connected Notion, disconnecting in Settings removes the token; any workouts already written to your Notion database remain in your own Notion workspace under your control.
Which devices are supported? SimpleLifts runs on iPhone (iOS 17+), iPad, and includes an Apple Watch companion app (watchOS 10+) plus home-screen widgets and Watch complications.
SimpleLifts is built with privacy as a core principle. There is no SimpleLifts backend — your data lives on your device and (if you choose) in your own iCloud account. We don’t collect personal information, we don’t run analytics, and we don’t sell data. Read our full Privacy Policy.
